Our Annual Golf Tournament is Almost Here! Want to Know More?

Spring is around the bend, and with it comes our annual ‘Drive to Deliver’ Golf Tournament in support of Community Support Connections - Meals on Wheels and More. Taking place the second Tuesday of May, it is often the first charity golf tournament of the season, and thus, one of your first opportunities to golf while supporting a great cause!

Our golf tournament will once again be hosted at Rebel CreekGolf Club on Tuesday May 8th, 2012. We are happy to share that we have already arranged some exciting golfer gifts, which include a $30 gift certificate for either King Crab Oyster Bar and Grill or King Street TrioUptown, and your choice between a Collapsible Cooler Bag, or a Cargo Bag courtesy of Christie Digital. We are also hard at work lining up some exciting silent auction items, a preview of which we will include in our next blog post. I’ll give you a hint though, one item involves an airplane!

Whether it is as an individual, or a foursome, all of our golfers will enjoy a delicious lunch courtesy of Piller’s, 18 holes of golf, cart, roast beef dinner, and lots of fun challenges, including our ‘Hole-in-One’ challenge where the winner can walk away with a brand new car, courtesy of Heffner Lexus Toyota.

Every year we host this tournament to support our ‘Meal Subsidy Program’, which helps to subsidize needed meals for low income seniors and adults with disabilities in our community. We depend on fundraising and generous donations from the community to meet the needs of some of our most vulnerable neighbours. Last year’s tournament raised enough to subsidize the delivery of 16,000 meals for low income clients.

Individual golfers are only $175, and a foursome is $700. There are also sponsorship packages that include golfing as well, which you can learn more about from our “Sponsorship Package” link. If you are interested in golfing at or sponsoring this sell-out tournament, be sure to call Rosalind at (519) 772-8787 x 225, or email her at rosalindh@communitysupportconnections.org today. (This tournament routinely sells out, and spots do fill fast, so call today.)
