Thanks to our 55 sponsors, silent auction donors,
enthusiastic golfers, and fantastic golf committee, we are happy to share that
our annual charity golf tournament raised $45,000 this year in support of
seniors and adults with disabilities throughout Waterloo Region! That’s a
milestone for us as we have passed our $37, 000 mark, which was our record
breaking total last year.
The golfers once again loved their gifts, which included a
$30 gift certificate to either King Crab Oyster Bar or King Street Trio Uptown,
their choice of collapsible cooler, or car tote bag, and the sprain and sport
injury spray bottle. All together the golfer gifts were valued at $96, which is
more than half the cost for each golfer!
There are so many people to thank for this fantastic
success, and we would like to start by thanking our Golf Committee who were
instrumental in pulling this event together. Thank you Lawrence Bingeman, Lori
Bordessa, Kevin Mills, John Emrich, and Dave Arjune. Also, we would like to
extend a special thank you to Dennis Watson, who emceed the evening and helped
us raise over $3,000 through our live auction.
