A Thank You to Our Golfers, Sponsors and Volunteers

Thank you to all of our golfers, sponsors and volunteers who dressed for the weather and came out to support our clients at the 9^th annual Drive to Deliver Golf Tournament!

This year’s event raised around $33,000, enough to subsidize over 8,000 meals for local seniors and adults with disabilities. A special thanks to our Wine Sponsor ABA Architects, Gift Sponsors Christie Digital, Safegard Medical, King Crab Oyster Bar and Grill and King Street Trio Uptown and Wendy from The Court at Laurelwood for volunteering at our Trivia Hole for the afternoon!  The Heffner Hole in One still eludes, but there’s always next year!

Community Support Connections – Meals on Wheels and More is thrilled to have Rebel Creek host the 2013 Drive to Deliver golf tournament, for the 9th annual event on May 14th, 2013.  The support of the Rebel Creek staff help us to raise funds for our meal subsidy program year after year, helping to curb the cost of our Meals on Wheels and Community Dining programs for clients who would otherwise not be able to afford such services.

Exclusive Sponsorship Opportunities Still Available!

So far we've had 50 amazing organizations sponsor this year’s Drive to Deliver Golf Tournament in support of Meals on Wheels.  From supplying us with a hot air balloon ride to proudly displaying your logo at one of our golf holes, we sincerely appreciate the support needed to make this year’s event a success.

We would like to raise a glass to ABA Architects, this year’s Wine Sponsor. They will be featured on our tabletop menu cards and more while our attendees enjoy dinner. The event’s Wine Sponsorship is an exclusive opportunity, but there are still other two exclusive sponsorship levels available.

As the Presenting Sponsor you would receive maximum promotional exposure at the event.  This opportunity is the highest level of sponsorship available, and we would love to highlight your company’s generous contribution to Meals on Wheels at the tournament, in the local media, and online. We are also looking for a Dinner Sponsor who will be highlighted at the event’s gourmet dinner, and a Cart Sponsor whose branding will appear on every golf cart. These sponsorships also include golfer spots so representatives from your organization can join us for the day.

Closest to the Pin

This year we have two closest to the pin holes for you to win on. One will feature a hot air balloon ride provided by Kitchener Rogers Radio Group, the other offer a shot at some great golf gear.

Hole in One

We all know about that one time you got a hole in one when golfing by yourself, do it again at this year's tournament to win a car courtesy of Heffner Toyota!

Drive to Deliver Golf Tournament Date set for May 14th, 2013!

The date is set for the annual Drive to Deliver Golf Tournament in support of Community Support Connections – Meals on Wheels and More! We invite you to join us at Rebel Creek Golf Club on Tuesday May 14th for another amazing event.

Last year, thanks to our sponsors and golfers, we raised more than $46,000 for our meal subsidy program. Price includes golf, cart, lunch, dinner, fantastic golfer gifts from Christie Digital, and King Crab Oyster Bar and Grill/King Street Uptown!

Lunch will be served by Piller’s Fine Foods, but there are still plenty of sponsorship opportunities available including Dinner Sponsor, Wine Sponsor and more! Sponsorship opportunities start at as little as $325 and include a custom tee sign featuring your company’s logo.

Drive to Deliver Golf Tournament the Most Successful to Date!

Thanks to our 55 sponsors, silent auction donors, enthusiastic golfers, and fantastic golf committee, we are happy to share that our annual charity golf tournament raised $45,000 this year in support of seniors and adults with disabilities throughout Waterloo Region! That’s a milestone for us as we have passed our $37, 000 mark, which was our record breaking total last year.  

The golfers once again loved their gifts, which included a $30 gift certificate to either King Crab Oyster Bar or King Street Trio Uptown, their choice of collapsible cooler, or car tote bag, and the sprain and sport injury spray bottle. All together the golfer gifts were valued at $96, which is more than half the cost for each golfer!

There are so many people to thank for this fantastic success, and we would like to start by thanking our Golf Committee who were instrumental in pulling this event together. Thank you Lawrence Bingeman, Lori Bordessa, Kevin Mills, John Emrich, and Dave Arjune. Also, we would like to extend a special thank you to Dennis Watson, who emceed the evening and helped us raise over $3,000 through our live auction.
